OUR STORY
LivenBooks was founded in 2022 by Gabriel Ndayishimiye to ignite the creative spark in emerging writers. Gabriel envisioned LivenBooks as a platform for social good. Creativity is a tool for building a better world. At LivenBooks, young writers are empowered to use their talents for social good, advocating for causes they believe in and addressing real-world issues through storytelling.
The lack of mentorship, limited access to resources, and the challenge of finding an audience often discourage young people from pursuing their creative ambitions. LivenBooks exists to break down these barriers, offering guidance, tools, and support that enable young writers and other creatives to share their stories with the world.
By providing exposure to diverse perspectives, hands-on guidance, and professional resources, LivenBooks nurtures creativity at every stage—from the first spark of an idea to the final published work.
We are proud to partner with Library and Archives Canada, which supports our publishing efforts by assigning Cataloguing in Publication (CIP) data to all our published books. This collaboration ensures our titles are accurately cataloged and integrated into the national bibliography, making them more accessible to libraries, booksellers, and readers across Canada. This commitment enhances the visibility and credibility of our authors, providing them with a strong foundation in the literary world.
